Located on Union Street this is a local favorite with the twenty-something crowd. It's usually packed with college aged students on Fridays, Saturdays, and on their infamous pint night (Wednesday). Its a place to run into everyone, old school-mates or tourists fresh from the beach.

Another Local favorite; this bar is for everyone! It has a large bar but also tons of booths and tables to sit at, the closest thing to a sports bar that you will find in Traverse City. This is a no muss no fuss bar specializing in pitchers and shots of icehole.

Also known for their live music is the Loading Dock. This is one of the larger bars in Traverse City. It has a large bar with booths, a deck area with tables and chairs, a lounge area in the back with couches, pools tables, darts, and a stage for live performers.

5. Kilkenny's
This Irish Pub is located under the it's sister restaurant North Peak. It is one of the newest bars in Traverse City and has a main stage and dance floor. Although it has an open floor plan there are two separate rooms one which holds the bar and stage and another which has tables, darts, two pool tables (can be rented for $8 an hour), and other video games.
